Uniform Guidance

The U.S. Office of Management and Budget’s Uniform Guidance took effect December 26, 2014. It consolidates eight OMB circulars into a single document and changes some fundamental concepts underlying the management of sponsored programs. The University of Kansas implemented Uniform Guidance throughout the Research Administration and Fiscal Affairs functions of the KU Center for Research, and applies these guidelines to all sponsored funding, no matter if the source is federal or non-federal. It is important to note that Uniform Guidance’s use may vary in practice from agency to agency in the federal government. We are monitoring this evolution and have created this website in order to keep investigators and grant coordinators informed of relevant information. We encourage you to bookmark this website and return to it often.
