Human Research Protection Program
Previously known as the Human Subjects Committee – Lawrence (HSCL), the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) at the University of Kansas is responsible for reviewing all human subjects research occurring at the Lawrence, Edwards and Juniper Gardens campuses. HRPP includes the administrative office and the Institutional Review Board (IRB) that reviews projects with greater than minimal risk.The HRPP staff works with the KU community and the IRB to ensure that legal and ethical requirements have been met to ensure the safety of all research participants.
